Lake Sunapee Pricing

We are seeing more attractive pricing and houses that had an asking
price higher than worth are coming into a more
realistic pricing index. People who have over paid in the past Three
years are stuck with a loss. A local Real Estate Firm
in the area keeps over pricing properties to get the listing and all
they are doing is helping clients keep from
selling the current listing 300 days plus. The more realistic pricing is
selling. If you are looking to buy in Sunapee
call First New England and we will provide you with the True pricing. It
is a buyers market take advantage today.

A great place to raise your children

This is a family that I found looking for property on US Route 103. I
showed them a real nice cove at Fishers Bay, they thought it was
perfect. Mom and Dad thanked me and on there way they traveled. It is
the beginning of many memories that
Sunapee has to offer. Call Lake Sunapee your home.

History and info on Sunapee NH

Like many other towns, this one went through name changes before its
incorporation in 1781: "Saville", "Corey's Town", and then "Wendell",
for one of the Masonian Proprietors, John Wendell. The name "Sunapee"
was substituted for "Wendell" by the legislature in 1850. The town,
Lake Sunapee and Mount Sunapee share the name which comes from the
Algonquian Indian words "suna" meaning "goose", and "apee", meaning
"lake". The Indians called the area "Goose Lake" because it was a
favorite spot of wild geese.

The town has long been a popular tourist destination. The major
attraction was the pristine lake, once surrounded by a number of grand
hotels. Lake Sunapee is the only lake in New Hampshire with three
working lighthouses, built in the 1890s and maintained by the Lake
Sunapee Protective Asscociation. The town was the birthplace of the
rock band, Aerosmith.
